WELCOME TO
Possibilities Unlimited
I AM HERE TO LISTEN
Treatment Focus
My approach is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I facilitate this by providing a safe space, listening to your concerns, and helping you achieve Possibilities Unlimited.
My Philosophy
My commitment is to guide you in your journey. We will work as a team, with you being the expert on you. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
Therapy Modalites
Depression & Anxiety
Depression and anxiety are often rooted in several causal factors. The basis for my practice focus utilizes Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. We will pair this with consistent guidance and support to help you recover motivation, perspective, and happiness in your life.
Trauma and PTSD
Many individuals can experience physical and emotional symptoms associated with past and present trauma. To address anxiety, fear, and hopelessness we will work using Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Integrating this foundational approach proves to be successful in re-regulating your nervous system and calming anxiety.
Relationships
The world is all about relationships and how we navigate within them. I offer relationship counseling and coaching to help you sort out unhealthy relationship patterns, conflict, and unresolved pain. I incorporate Emotionally Focused Therapy to facilitate healthy communication and strengthen emotional intimacy.
Codependency
In codependency, unhealthy coping mechanisms learned in childhood interfere with our adult worldly belief systems and relationships. Pia Mellody's PIT model lends to us a relationship centered healing. Her model addresses the issues of childhood trauma and the link with codependency. People get better with this model and enjoy healthier relationships with themselves and others.
Meet Mona Stenberg RN, LCPC
I have enjoyed working as a therapist for 23 years following a career in nursing. My experience in both nursing and psychotherapy has led me to have a very diverse exposure to healing modalities. Early in my career working as a nurse, I repeatedly saw patients that were experiencing physical symptoms that could not be explained by the medical world that I was engulfed in. This is where my curiosity led me to investigate how the emotional realm was undeniably entangled with the physical "dis-ease" and symptoms, but medical professionals were unable to address it. I then began exploring the connection between emotional well being and physical symptoms. My passion lies within helping humanity and revealing with people their inner Possibilities Unlimited.
My career started out as Director of a Partial Hospital for children. I moved on to serve as a adjunct teacher in the counseling program at MSU Bozeman. I was a provider of supervision for MSU-Bozeman counseling students as well. I became the first therapist in a medical clinic to provide expertise on integration of physical health and mental health diagnosis and treatment. I then organized the
Counseling Internship Program at the Livingston Community Health Partners Medical Clinic.
A calling to opening a private practice arose in the summer of 2003 and Possibilities Unlimited was born. My practice focus and joy is in counseling adults and couples. In addition I work with companies looking to implement a healthier, more productive working environment. I lecture at conferences, and have hosted a 4 day conference with Peter Bregman, a renowned business coach from New York.
